The detail

What this job actually involves

Why we do not use a wand

A pressure wand cleans in a narrow arc, so overlapping passes leave darker and lighter bands — “zebra striping”. It is permanent until the whole slab is redone. We use a rotating surface cleaner, which holds a constant distance and pressure across a wide plate and finishes evenly.

Oil and rust are chemistry, not pressure

You cannot blast an oil stain out of concrete — concrete is porous and the oil has soaked in. More pressure just erodes the surface around the stain and makes it more obvious. Oil is drawn out with a degreaser and dwell time; rust from sprinkler water needs an acid-based treatment that pressure alone will never touch.

What we will tell you honestly

  • Old stains rarely go to zero. A fifteen-year oil patch usually lifts 70–90%. Anyone promising perfect is selling you a repour.
  • Sealing is a separate decision. Sealed concrete stays clean longer and stains less, but it must go on to a fully dry slab — so it is a second visit, not an upsell on the day.
  • Pavers need re-sanding. Washing jointed pavers removes joint sand. If it is not replaced the pavers shift. We will tell you before, not after.
